This egg-shaped dining table was designed in 1952 by Arne Jacobsen, a master of Scandinavian design, to be used in a set with the Ant Chair. The table features a beautifully drawn organic form and rounded edges on the oval top supported by three chrome-finished legs. Even if two or more people sit at the table, they do not face each other, so they can sit around the table in a relaxed atmosphere. The Egg Table 3603 was reproduced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the birth of the Egg Table and the 150th anniversary of the founding of Fritz Hansen. The original was made of teak and rosewood, but it has been changed to walnut, which is FSC-certified for the global environment.
