This low table uses Suitstone, an upcycled material made from scraps from the suit manufacturing process, for its top. The top is placed slightly above the base, which is made from the finest wood, giving the impression that the strength and weakness of gravity coexist. Suitstone is a new material created by reusing scraps from clothing that would otherwise be discarded during the manufacturing process and applying washi papermaking techniques. It has the weight and glossy sheen of Datekanseki, a material beloved by many sculptors, while its unique texture, created by incorporating traditional Japanese techniques, creates a modern atmosphere. The surface changes its appearance depending on how the light hits it. You can choose from two bases: Chestnut, which has a beautiful grain, and Victorian Rosewood, which is hard to find.
