This cafe table uses Suitstone, an upcycled material made from scraps from the suit manufacturing process, for its tabletop. The simple steel legs bring out the unique texture of the tabletop. It can be used as a cafe table in commercial facilities such as cafes and restaurants, as a dining table for single-person households, or as a display table for decorative items and objects. Suitstone is a new material created by reusing scraps of clothing that would otherwise be discarded during the manufacturing process and applying washi papermaking techniques. It has the weight and glossy luster of Datekanseki, a material beloved by many sculptors, while its unique texture created by incorporating traditional Japanese techniques creates a modern atmosphere.
