This coffee table was created for the Michelin-starred restaurant ÄNG in Sweden. It was designed as a simple solution to the restaurant's ever-changing needs. The design is based on a cubic form with a modest modularity, and can be easily adapted to the number of guests and the size of the group. It stands out as a pedestal-like object, and can also be combined to create a highly functional table. THE RESTAURANG The ÄNG collection is intended to be furnished in the Michelin-starred restaurant ÄNG, a modern glasshouse adjacent to the local Swedish vineyard ÄSTAD. The bespoke interior, focusing on Scandinavian design philosophy and subdued material use, explores the similarities between Japanese and Scandinavian expression. For this project, both Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa Architects have designed new bespoke furniture and accessories, some of which will form Karimoku Case's sixth collection.
