A wheeled trolley created for Sweden's Michelin-starred restaurant ÄNG. The design was inspired by the umbrella stands and shoe cabinets found at the entrances of Japanese shrines and temples. Many details from existing collections, such as contrasting colored fittings, a shelf-like structure, and textured paper cord-wrapped handles, are incorporated to enhance the tactile feel and ensure consistency between collections. THE RESTAURANG The restaurant ÄNG collection is designed to be used at ÄNG, a modern glasshouse Michelin-starred restaurant adjacent to Sweden's local vineyard ÄSTAD. The bespoke interior, with a focus on Scandinavian design philosophy and subdued material use, explores the similarities between Japanese and Scandinavian expression. For this project, both Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa Architects designed new bespoke furniture and accessories, some of which will form Karimoku Case's sixth collection.
