AJ Oxford Table Lamp
This table lamp has a milky white handmade triple-layered blown glass shade that gives a harmonious and comfortable downward light. It diffuses the light to create an attractive halo around the surroundings. It features a slim stem design that seamlessly integrates with the stem and the circular base. There are two types of shades, a glass shade type that emits light up and down, and a metal shade type that delivers light downward, and each type is available in two sizes. This product is a "glass shade". It was designed by Arne Jacobsen for St. Catherine's College, one of the 38 colleges that make up the University of Oxford in the UK. Like the distinctive architecture of the college, the design has graphic elements and became the centerpiece of the long tables in the dining hall that accommodates 350 people. It is still used in the college and in student dormitories. St. Catherine's College, which opened in 1963, was designed by Arne Jacobsen. It is highly regarded as a masterpiece of modernist architecture, contrasting with the classical Oxford University buildings scattered throughout the city and strongly reflecting his overall design.
