This dining chair was created by Isamu Kenmochi, an interior designer who supported the foundation of the design known as Japanese modern, together with Tendo Mokko, a company that was challenging itself with creating three-dimensionally curved molded plywood. It was designed for a golf course clubhouse in 1961. The backrest is curved to wrap around the body of the person sitting on it, and can also be used as an armrest to rest your weight on. It has just the right amount of flexibility, providing firm support for the lower back and supporting the body.
