Chair
This chair was designed in 1963 by designer Fujimori Kenji, who studied in Scandinavia and was greatly influenced by the creation of functional and beautiful furniture. Scandinavian furniture-making techniques are fully utilized in the design of this chair, and although it has a simple shape made by processing a single piece of molded plywood into a three-dimensional curved surface, it has a variety of functions. The holes in the seat were made to prevent the cushion from slipping due to friction with the tatami mat. At the same time, they also serve to reduce weight and prevent warping. Another feature is that it is light at 1.7kg and can be stacked, making it easy to store. Winner of the Good Design and Long Life Design Awards Source: https://flymee.jp/
