This low table features a structure based on the many facades and doorways found in temples, shrines, and traditional architecture. The multiple wooden parts are intricately assembled, while remaining parallel, intentionally creating space and giving the exterior a certain lightness. The light that shines between the various elements adds an organic and lively look. The stone top references the minimalist design of famous Danish designer Paul Kjaerholm. The legs, inspired by the gates and doors found in traditional Japanese architecture such as temples, are made of parts as thin as possible. The wooden parts of the legs have gaps to create a path for light to pass through, and the shadows projected on the floor create changes in the space over time. By incorporating traditional Japanese architectural techniques that do not expose the assembly metal fittings on the surface, we have achieved both beauty and high strength to support the heavy marble. The top is made of natural marble from Italy. The use of sedimentary rocks creates a diverse design that creates various patterns such as shell fossils. The matte finish is polished with water to increase water resistance while maintaining a natural texture. The underside of the marble top is made of shatterproof mesh sheeting, and it is sandwiched between a non-slip cushion and a wooden frame that continues from the legs, ensuring safety.
