This coffee table was designed for the NOTABENE Shoe Store in Copenhagen, Denmark. The solid wood top makes it lightweight and easy to use for a wide range of purposes. Inspired by the facades and doorways often found in temples, shrines and traditional architecture, the intricately assembled wooden parts intentionally create gaps while maintaining the same height. The high-quality wooden top gives a soft and stable feel while creating a delicate appearance where light shines between the structures. The NOTABENE SHOE STORE "NOTABENE SHOE STORE Collection" was designed for the flagship store of the shoe brand "NOTABENE" located in the center of Copenhagen. The structure of the building, which has a tasteful expression, has a long history of being used in various ways. The refined Japanese furniture manufacturing technology is introduced into the space, emphasizing the fineness and precision of the shoe manufacturing process. Danish design studio Norm Architects has revamped the retail experience at Nota Bene, creating a central hub for all things shoe design and care in a large industrial space that includes a shopping area, shoe care bar and creative lab.
