This art panel is a framed version of the Nishijin-ori work "Shining Mountain," which was shown at the "150 Years of Japonism" exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. It was created in collaboration with the design unit "Tansan Design Room." The motif is the nature of Tachiki Kannon, the designer's hometown, and Tachikiyama, and expresses colorful forests and mountains. "Shining Mountain," a triptych consisting of spring, summer, and autumn, depicts Tachikiyama in each season with green, purple, and red. The dynamic design, which is imbued with the vitality of intricately drawn flowers and trees, is fused with the traditional techniques of Nishijin-ori brocade, which has been practiced in Nishijin, Kyoto for over 1,200 years, to create an original roll of cloth that gives off an exotic sparkle. Nishijin-ori brocade is a high-quality fabric made of pure silk, gold thread, and foil thread, and is used in the interiors of shrines and temples, as well as for folding screens, the base of hanging scrolls, the costumes of priests, and Noh costumes. You can feel the beauty of a mandala, the plump luster and vivid color scheme unique to silk thread, as well as the color that changes depending on the angle and the dazzling shine of the gold thread. This art panel cut from a roll of cloth is available in three patterns and three sizes, and each has a different pattern position and appearance, making it a one-of-a-kind art piece. You can choose from three frames: natural, black, and white. Source: https://flymee.jp/
