This shelf combines prefabricated steel legs with colored MDF and cypress shelves. A4 files can be stored upright. The simple structure of the shelves being sandwiched between the upper and lower supports provides solid strength. The supports are designed to be evenly spaced when placed side by side, so even multiple units can be placed side by side for a neat and tidy look. The base of the supports is wide so as not to damage the floor, and the base itself is an adjuster, so it is stable even on uneven floors. The colored MDF used for the shelves is a board made by pre-dyeing fibrous wood chips with dye and then solidifying them. It is made mainly from chips of thinned wood and scraps, making it an environmentally friendly material that allows wood to be used effectively without waste. The smooth texture is accentuated by the uneven color caused by the chips. The ends of the shelves are made of cypress, a coniferous tree native to Japan.
