GRAND PRIX
Caster-based version of the Grand Prix chair, with its edgy, graphical design. The Grand Prix chair was first exhibited at the Spring Exhibition at the Danish Museum of Crafts in Copenhagen in 1957, and later won the highest award, the Grand Prix, at the Milan Triennale in the same year. The seat has a swivel function and a height-adjustable lift mechanism, making it ideal as a work chair for use in a study or office. The material is molded plywood made from a combination of nine layers of veneer and Indian cotton. Available in three finishes: natural wood, lacquer, and colored ash. The casters with high-quality aluminum caps are two-wheel casters designed by Jörgen Rasmussen for the "KEVI chair" in 1965, making them easy to move. Available in "soft" for hard floors and "hard" for carpeted floors. Also available with a "stopper" that will not move unless a load is applied. ◆About the shell Available in natural wood, lacquer, and colored ash. -Natural wood veneer is used on the outside of the laminated plywood and finished with clear lacquer. The clear grain of the wood enhances the organic form of the chair. The grain pattern varies from piece to piece. Recommended for those who prefer a natural look. -Lacquer The lacquer finish hides the grain of the wood, giving the surface a uniform, silky soft impression and allowing the beautiful color to stand out. -The grain of the wood can be clearly seen through the colored ash color paint. It has the advantage of being a more durable finish than natural wood. Source: https://flymee.jp/
