This dining chair with arms was created by carving wood like a sculpture, by internationally active designer Naoto Fukasawa. The frame that branches out from the backrest, the seat shape that draws a supple curve, and the silhouette that is formed by soft curves are impressive yet pure and quiet. The spacious seat and smooth frame that does not break support the body as if they are wrapped around it. The gently curved arms are easy to grip from any angle, and are so comfortable that you will naturally want to rest your hands on them. There are two variations, a wooden seat and an upholstered seat (this product), and both use a seat that has been carved into a beautiful three-dimensional curved surface that resembles a wave. The front of the seat slopes gently downward, making it soft and comfortable for the back of the thighs without any pressure. The part that touches the buttocks is gently concave, fitting the body firmly. The upholstered seat, which is a thin cushion sheet placed on top of the wooden seat, uses molded urethane that is foamed in a mold.
