The AJ Lamp wall light was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel (now the Radisson Collection) in Copenhagen. It emits bright light downwards, and the direction of the light can be adjusted by changing the angle of the shade. The interior is painted white, creating a soft reflected light. Its form, which combines straight lines, oblique angles, and right angles, is said to be arranged parallel to the frame angle of the 3300 sofa in the hotel lobby and the diagonal outline of buildings designed by Jacobsen.
