ENISHI BOWL KUROURUSHI
A glass bowl with a soft, uneven shape and metallic lacquer applied. The inside of the bowl is glass and the outside is lacquered. The chic color makes colorful ingredients stand out. COCHI is a tableware brand created by artists who inherit Japanese beauty and Japanese craftsmanship. "ENISHI" is a series of glassware handmade by glass artists and then covered with black lacquer by lacquer artisans. The organic curves that make you want to pick them up are made using the free-blowing technique, in which air is blown into glass heated to a high temperature through a blowing rod. Each piece is carefully blown by the artist (Mitsuhiro Hara), so each one has a unique shape. The outside of the bowl is hand-painted with black lacquer by a lacquer artisan in Sabae. The black color of the lacquer, which is so captivating, creates a mysterious depth when layered on top of the glass, giving it a texture that feels warm. Lacquer, a natural material, changes color and luster over time. It is a bowl that grows beautifully in the life of each user. Artist: Mitsuhiro Hara Born in Kishiwada, Osaka Prefecture, after graduating from high school, he traveled around Japan on his motorcycle. He became interested in glass art and joined "The Glass Studio in Otaru" in Hokkaido. After studying under Chiyoji Asahara, he built the "Glass Art Yumeya" kiln in his hometown. At COCHI, he produces glassware for "ENISHI | Edge". Source: https://flymee.jp/
