A small wine glass with a black lacquer stem. The warm form goes well with ceramics. It's just the right size for casually enjoying a drink. COCHI is a tableware brand created by artists who inherit Japanese beauty and Japanese craftsmanship. "ENISHI" is a series of glassware handmade by glass artists and then covered with black lacquer by lacquer artisans. The organic curves that make you want to pick them up are made using the mid-air glass blowing technique, in which air is blown into heated glass through a blowing rod. Each glass is carefully blown by the artist (Mitsuhiro Hara), so each glass has a unique shape. Since each glass is made by hand, there may be slight differences in shape and dimensions, but please understand that this is the flavor of handmade products. The rim is hand-painted with black lacquer by a lacquer artisan in Sabae. The black color of the lacquer, which is so captivating, creates a mysterious depth when layered on top of the glass, giving it a warm texture. The natural material lacquer changes color and luster over time. It is a vessel that grows beautifully in the lifestyle of each person who uses it. Artist: Hara Mitsuhiro / MITSUHIRO HARA Born in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture, after graduating from high school, he traveled around Japan on his motorcycle. He became interested in glass craft and joined "The Glass Studio in Otaru" in Hokkaido. After studying under Asahara Chiyoji, he built the kiln "Glass Art Yumeya" in his hometown. At COCHI, he produces glassware for "ENISHI | Edge". Source: https://flymee.jp/
