This tray is made of translucent PMMA and has a sculptural finish. There are four convex parts on the back, which make it appear to float slightly when placed on a table. It reflects various colors and lights onto the table and onto the glasses and cups placed on it, creating a mysterious effect. A tray without any presence would be boring, so this tray was designed by Mario Bellini, a master of industrial design, with the desire to give users an unexpected impression, like ocean waves, sand dunes, or silk.
