SK Lamp
This is a reprint of a pendant light designed by Akisaku Kondo in the 1960s. It features an integrated shade design made of woven bamboo and molded acrylic, a symbol of Akisaku Kondo. This is a half-moon shape that looks like a half-moon. By using the surface of the bamboo on the inside of the shade, it has a beautiful curved form with a sense of tension unique to bamboo. When lit, the acrylic surface emits white light and the soft light leaking through the gaps harmonize, creating a different look from when it is turned off. You can also enjoy watching the bamboo part change to a tasteful amber color over the years. SK lamps were discontinued in 2008 due to the aging of the craftsmen, but Kondo passed on the manufacturing method of weaving based on a full-scale development diagram to a young bamboo craftsman in Beppu, and the reprint was realized in 2015. This lighting, which was conceived more than 40 years ago, still has an unfading charm. Source: https://flymee.jp/
