The Swiss design duo Kuhn Caputo have made the most of Arita's techniques to create a collection of flower vases, bowls, and plates. The collection's greatest feature is the soft gradation that creates an optical illusion, as if casting a shadow on the surface of the vessel. This collection was made possible by bringing together Arita techniques, including the geometric shapes created by artisans, the airbrush coloring technique known as "fukitsuki," and specially developed matte glazes.
