This is a new chair from the iconic "Color Wood" series of the Karimoku New Standard collection. The basic concept of making effective use of small diameter Japanese hardwoods is the same as the table, but in making this chair, Karimoku has taken on a new challenge in woodworking techniques. The seat has a graphical composition that goes back and forth between simplicity and complexity. To make it, small and thin pieces of oak wood are collected and assembled into a shell shape so that the fixed parts are not visible. It is a perfect combination with the Color Wood dining table that has already been developed, and can be used both at home and for contract use.
