Piuma means "feather" in Italian. As its name suggests, this armchair is as light as a feather. The back and seat are a maximum of just 2mm thick, and it weighs an ultra-light 2.3kg. Designer Piero Lissoni and Kartell spent two years researching and developing unprecedented materials and technologies, and the product was finally realized using the world's first innovative injection molding technique of carbon fiber-reinforced resin.
