F031 Desk
This is a French modern desk with a minimalist design that Pierre Paulin created in the 1950s and was released by Thonet, a French company famous for its bentwood furniture. Unlike the sculptural designs from the 1960s onwards, this desk has a simple style that pursues functionality. The calm colours blend in with a variety of interiors and create a high-quality space not only for SOHO use but also as a counter desk in a shop. The top and legs are available in white or black, and the drawers are available in oak or teak. This is a reproduction version that Metrox acquired the manufacturing and sales rights for in 2003. Pierre Paulin's designs are generally known for the organic forms of Artifort's products from the 1960s onwards, but this desk has a simple form based on straight lines that pursues functionality. Because it was "designed for personal use rather than for offices", it is more compact than the average desk size in Europe and was also called the "petit bureau" (small desk). The tabletop, drawers, and legs are all made of different materials, and the attention to detail and consideration of the materials used can be seen everywhere. The back is also finished, so it can be coordinated with any place. Inside the drawer is a brass sign plate, a proof of Pierre Paulin's approval. Source: https://flymee.jp/
