Persimmon Chair
This innovative chair was unveiled at the Milan Triennale in 1960, using a Japanese racket structure (koma-ike processing) based on a chair designed by Junzo Sakakura. The venue for the Milan Triennale was designed by the Junzo Sakakura Architectural Institute, and Daisaku Cho, who was a member of the institute at the time, was in charge of furniture design. The chair's frame is made of molded plywood, and the back of the chair, which has organic lines, was inspired by the curves that form when a persimmon is split vertically down the middle. In 2006, Daisaku Cho redesigned it and reborn it as a new chair. Source: https://flymee.jp/
