This stool is a masterpiece by Tokuyoshi Kato, one of the founding members of Tendo Mokko, who served as the factory manager and craftsman. Although it has a simple structure with legs attached to a ring-shaped seat, the design embodies the advanced technology of Tendo Mokko. During the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, it was also called the "Olympic Stool" and became very popular. The joint between the seat and legs, which may look delicate at first glance, is very firmly attached using a unique patented technology. By drilling a hole in the seat, it is easy to carry with one hand. The seat leather is stretched using Tendo Mokko's unique "Marutenbari" technique, and is finished so that it looks beautiful from any angle without showing any seams. It is inclined toward the center of the hole, making it a very comfortable stool to sit on. Source: https://flymee.jp/
