This low table was designed in 1968 by Kenmochi Isamu, an interior designer who supported the foundations of the design known as Japanese modern. Its innovative one-piece form, which has stood the test of time, is the culmination of Tendo Mokko's advanced molded plywood technology. The legs, which wrap around the entire table, are made by joining together three-dimensionally molded parts. The periphery of the tabletop is surrounded by delicate ridges called "mizu-gaeshi." In addition to being functional in preventing tea and other liquids from spilling, they also give the low table an elegant look. The material used is the precious Caribbean persimmon. It features a deep, lustrous color that exudes a sense of dignity and beautiful grain. Source: https://flymee.jp/
