This stool was designed by Watanabe Riki in 1954 as a chair for the home of architect Seike Kiyoshi. Its structure is reminiscent of Watanabe's signature work, the Torii stool, with a seat made of solid wood and steel rod legs that create a straight, neat form. The angle of the seat, which is designed for comfort, and the handle in the center of the seat for easy carrying are just some of the small details that were carefully considered.
