Perfect Instance
A mobile with two plates that rotate freely in the wind. It is made of two crossed plates, one horizontal and one vertical, which are dyed and anodized. The horizontal brass bar keeps the plates apart so that they do not touch each other, and the brass weights on each plate allow them to rotate stably and freely. The way they pass through the slits is an unprecedented movement, and the aluminum gradation makes this an elegant mobile. It was designed by Lisa Bernasconi, who was a student at the time, as a joint project between the Ecole d'Art de Lausanne (ECAL) in Switzerland and the Japanese mobile brand tempo.
