Known for the organic, soft lines that characterize his designs such as the Swan and Ant chairs, Arne Jacobsen surprised design fans around the world with his first Oxen in 1966. As its name, which means "bull" in Danish, Oxen is large, powerful and powerful. Jacobsen spent five years designing Oxen. In contrast to many of his previous works, which were characterized by rounded, organic shapes, this lounge chair has very sharp contours. This masterpiece, which had not received much attention, was reissued in 2017, and its remarkable features are once again in the spotlight. Although Oxen appears graphic and almost faceted from the side and back, it is actually soft to sit on thanks to its foam and down seat and layered foam neck. It also changes beautifully over time, becoming even softer as you use it. The base is available in a black powder-coated finish or a star-shaped design with an aluminum base and satin-finished steel legs. Oksen is only available in leather. Choose from three different leather types: Grace leather with a beautiful grain, Aura leather with a strong texture (black and walnut) and Wild leather (black). Different leathers have different characteristics, so there are several factors to consider when choosing the right leather. Structure, maintenance, feel, comfort and appearance are all equally important. Different leathers also age differently, some darken and others lighten over time.
