"Resting Animals" is a series of sleeping creatures. These ceramic objects are shaped like cats. Watching animals sleep peacefully brings a sense of calm to our lives. The "Resting Animals" series was born from a research project by the design unit "Front," which focuses on the close connection between humans and objects. In this research, randomly selected people were asked to name the objects in their lives that most enrich their lives. Many of the responses were animal-shaped objects, revealing their personalities, their special affections like friends, and the precious time they have spent together. Front has previously researched how animals sleep and hibernate, a theme that has been reflected in their previous works.
