PHOTO FRAME SALEM
Animal bone photo frames are traditional Indian folk crafts. They are made by breathing new life into the bones of animals that have lived out their natural life span. The material is carved out of buffalo bones, and a skilled craftsman with 30 years of experience handcrafts each one, then decorates it to create the frame. This is a series of photo frames printed with vivid flower pictures using a technique called dye sublimation. Even the shades of paint are faithfully reproduced. In Hinduism, the primary religion of India, animals, especially cows, are objects of worship, so they should not be killed, let alone eaten. The bones and horns that remain when they die are sacred, so they are not thrown away, but are transformed into crafts and ornaments, and live forever. Wearing them protects you, so to speak, they are similar to Japanese amulets. Historically, India has been influenced by European culture through British colonial policies, and the color balance and Western-style design that can only be achieved in India are special products that cannot be made in other countries.
