Made of paulownia wood, which has excellent moisture-regulating properties for the humid climate of Japan. Can be used with either a futon or mattress. Horizontal slatted design for excellent ventilation. Slits have been applied to the slatted surface to improve breathability. Resin is attached to the corners of the slats to prevent injuries.
