Nicknamed the "hand grenade" for its shape, this lamp was designed by Aalto in 1952 for a project for the Finnish Technical Association and was also used in the conference room of Seinätsalo Town Hall, one of Aalto's most iconic buildings. The steel body features a brass ring with holes attached to the bottom of the lampshade, which diffuses light like a ring, creating a soft, warm glow.
