KIKI LOUNGE CHAIR Category F140 Hallingdal
The Kiki sofa, designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara in 1960, features a simple design and compact size that makes it suitable for any space. Creating designs for everyone, not just the few, was Ilmari Tapiovaara's lifelong goal. The frame is based on oval steel tubes. Apparently, the sofa's creation began when a manufacturer of oval steel tubes approached Tapiovaara asking him to design a product that would utilize the excess inventory in their factory. Its simple, streamlined design won it a gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1960. This sofa exudes a profound simplicity. *Product photos are for illustrative purposes only.
