The Paimio model was released in 2013 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Stool 60. It joined the lineup as a standard color in 2017. The Paimio mentioned here refers to the sanatorium (tuberculosis treatment facility) in Paimio, Finland, designed by Aalto in 1928. Hoping to lift the spirits of patients, Aalto incorporated bright colors into the architecture. This pop and unique color is used on the seat.
