This special edition Domus chair, inspired by the Domus archives and combining different types of wood, is a true "wooden conversation." The unique interplay between Finnish birch and North American elm creates a uniquely wooden conversation. The special edition Domus chair features elm, with its distinctive grain pattern, for the seat and back, and smooth, light-colored birch, also known as "blonde birch," for the chair frame. Crafted by skilled artisans at a Finnish factory that has been producing Domus chairs since 1946, the Domus chair was designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for the Domus Academica student dormitory in Helsinki. The three-dimensionally curved seat conforms to the human body, ensuring comfort and ease of sitting for extended periods.
