It preserves the natural character of birch, including knots in the branches, insect marks, and shades of color. Born from a deep respect for Finnish forests, this series utilizes materials efficiently and rediscovers the inherent beauty found in nature's unevenness and imperfections. In an age of growing awareness of climate change and the environment, this series also seeks to transform our approach to craftsmanship. The Aalto Table features L-legs made of wild birch and a tabletop made of birch with visible insect marks. Each piece displays unique characteristics derived from Finnish forests, and serves as a statement of Artek's commitment to natural materials and sustainability in both residential and public spaces. [Designed in 1933] Please note that due to environmental conservation measures, knots and imperfections may be present. This does not affect product use, but please be aware of this. Assembly required. The tabletop and legs are secured with wood screws, and the backing board is secured with a hammer. Assembly is available for an additional ¥4,950.
