In 1987, Michele De Lucchi designed "Tolomeo" for Artemide with Giancarlo Fassina, and it quickly became a bestseller, forging a collaboration that continues to this day. Inspired by the traditional balanced arm lamp, the designer combined an iconic, "domestic" form with innovative technologies and materials, challenging the designer to adapt it to a variety of uses and environments.
