SAMBA - M
"SAMBA-M" was created in 1988 by Shiro Kuramata, who passed away on February 1, 1991 at the age of 56. "SAMBA-M" was an attempt to create a new form of lighting, with a red light-emitting diode, the latest technology at the time, wrapped in wine glass-shaped glass. There is an anecdote that Kuramata himself lit it and poured champagne, which turned red, surprising party guests. The technology at the time made it difficult to produce, so only a small number were released, but the reproduction version uses Ambientec's unique technology to make it cordless, waterproof, and usable for long periods of time, greatly improving its usability. The glass part is hand-blown by artisans.
