Hydrogen dream
"Hydrogen dream" was released at the same time as "SAMBA-M" created in 1988 by Shiro Kuramata, who passed away on February 1, 1991 at the age of 56. Both works propose what lighting should be, and the motif of their designs is familiar kitchen items. The main feature is that they use commercially available spoons and use the "pot" part to diffuse the light. The name "Hydrogen Dream" comes from Kuramata's dream of a hydrogen-powered car. At the time of its release, approximately 20 units with pedestals made of highly precise metal by a sculptor and two units made of marble were produced. They have only been exhibited a few times at exhibitions, and very few people have seen the real thing. Only a small number were released to the public because it was difficult to produce with the technology at the time of release. For the reprint, the spoons are produced in the same factory as the original. Instead of LEDs, a small light bulb is deliberately used as the light source to reproduce the light of the original. Some of the design has been changed so that it can be used safely as an electric object, and the power supply method of the USB Type-C terminal makes it suitable for use overseas. Comes with a plate with a serial number.
