AJ Floor Lamp, Black
This floor lamp emits bright light downward. The angle of the shade can be adjusted up or down to freely adjust the direction of the light. The inside of the shade is painted white, creating a soft, reflected light. Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Lamp in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel (now the Radisson Collection) in Copenhagen. The AJ Lamp's form, combining straight lines, oblique angles, and right angles, is said to be aligned parallel not only to the angle of the frame of the sofa series (3300) placed in the hotel lobby, but also to the diagonal outlines of the buildings Jacobsen designed.
