PH 2/1 Pendant Silver Chrome
The PH 2/1 Pendant, relaunched in 1998, is the smallest three-shade PH lamp currently in production. All shades are frosted on the inside to produce a comfortable, glare-free light. Despite its small size, its light characteristics are excellent, softly illuminating people and objects. It is ideal for hanging multiple lamps side by side above tables or counters. Between 1925 and 1926, Poul Henningsen developed the three-shade system. PH's first multi-shade lamp was designed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. The partnership continued until Henningsen's death in 1967. Glare-free light, directing light where it's needed most, while simultaneously creating soft shadows, were key themes pursued by PH throughout its life, and the light source used was the incandescent bulb of the time.
