In 1959, when Arne Jacobsen designed the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, he designed this chair along with his masterpieces "Egg Chair" and "Swan Chair", and it was made available for sale the following year. The minimalist design still feels fresh even now, nearly 50 years later. The shade can be rotated 75 degrees to illuminate the correct position.
