CH410 Peters Chair (Unpainted)
Hans J. Wegner's CH410 Peters Chair was designed during World War II. Gifts were difficult to find in wartime Europe. Wegner, invited to the baptism of his close friend Børge Mogensen's eldest son, Peter, was also unable to find a suitable present. In response, Wegner decided to create a gift himself. A skilled cabinetmaker, Wegner created a simple yet playful table and chairs. These children's pieces function not only as furniture but also as toys. The chair can be assembled and disassembled without any tools. It's like a life-size 3D jigsaw puzzle, yet for safety reasons, there are no sharp edges.
