CHUSEN dyed hand towel Benkei
Fujio Ishimoto spent 50 years in Finland, and his familiar tenugui fabrics have continued to be a favorite of his throughout his time abroad. Ishimoto's reinterpretation of the traditional Japanese checkered pattern "Benkei lattice" (Benkei lattice) features a bold, large-scale checkered pattern of overlapping blue and white vertical stripes and bluish-gray and white horizontal stripes, arranged in exquisite balance. Dyed by the long-established tenugui manufacturer Kamawanu using the traditional "chusen" dyeing method, the vibrant colors are reproduced on both sides. The highly absorbent fabric makes it convenient to have one on hand for wiping hands and wet items, wrapping things, wrapping around the neck, or even as a tablecloth. The more you use it, the softer it becomes and the more comfortable it becomes to your touch. The Mustakivi and DESIGNED BY FUJIWO ISHIMOTO tags are attached, making it a perfect gift, while still being suitable for everyday use and distinguished by the brand's unique design. You can hang it on the separately sold "Tenugui Bar" like a hanging scroll and enjoy it as interior décor. *As it is hand-dyed, there may be some color fading or transfer. *We recommend washing it by hand separately from other items.
