There were a variety of NASSEN printed tenugui towels.
Fujio Ishimoto spent 50 years in Finland, and even during his time abroad, he continued to use tenugui, a familiar fabric in his daily life. "Various Things Happened" features a design of red, blue, green, and yellow droplets. This tenugui is based on an original painting that Ishimoto created as a study (a work of art created for practice) in the early 1970s, when he first arrived in Finland. To recreate the vibrant colors that are the charm of the original, the tenugui was dyed using the "nassen" (dyeing) method at Kamawanu, a long-established tenugui manufacturer. The highly absorbent fabric makes it convenient to have one on hand for wiping hands and wet items, wrapping things, wrapping around the neck, or even as a tablecloth. The more you use it, the more comfortable it becomes to your touch and the more comfortable it becomes. It comes with a Mustakivi and DESIGNED BY FUJIWO ISHIMOTO tag, and while it's a fabric for everyday use, it's distinctively our signature product, making it an ideal gift. You can hang it on the separately sold "Tenugui Bar" like a hanging scroll and enjoy it as interior décor. *As it is hand-dyed, there may be some color fading or transfer. *We recommend washing it by hand separately from other items.
