German designer Christian Dell, head of the Bauhaus metalworking workshop, began designing lighting for the lamp factory Gebr. Kaiser & Co. in early 1926. The 6631 Luxus table lamp, featured in a catalog published in 1936, quickly became a Kaiser Idel favorite.
