Lily is a chair designed by Arne Jacobsen for the Danish National Bank. The first model, 3108, was created in 1968, and the 3208 model with arms was unveiled at the 1970 Danish Furniture Fair. With its perfect curves and comfortable seating, Lily is the culmination of highly complex molded plywood techniques, which involve laminating thinly sliced veneers. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Lily, the last chair designed by Jacobsen, the natural wood model is being reissued in walnut. It is a product of FRITZ HANSEN, a Danish company.
