PK22 Embrace Leather Chocolate
Paul Kjærholm was deeply influenced by the master of modern architecture, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The PK22 was designed to surpass Rohe's masterpiece, the Barcelona Chair. Four pieces of steel are joined to two parallel surfaces by a double crossbeam beneath the seat. Unlike the PK25, the seat allows for rest without a rigid edge at the front. The convex curve of the seat and concave curve of the back became a common theme in Kjærholm's work. Its minimalist, functional aesthetic won it the Grand Prix at the 1957 Milan Triennale. Its timeless design is a timeless masterpiece. Embrace leather is the finest full-grain (aniline) leather, chrome-tanned. The untreated surface reveals its natural beauty and unique character. Its exceptional comfort, breathability, and softness make it ideal for upholstery. Its beautiful natural patina develops with exposure to light. Painted aniline leather will gradually fade. This product is made by Fritz Hansen, a Danish company. [Designed in 1956] Source: https://www.sempre.jp/
