Designed by Poul Kjærholm towards the end of his life as a conference table, the PK40 can seat up to eight people. Its distinctive square design features four leather-covered tabletops and four square stainless steel bases. Its distinctive upholstery arrangement and luxurious design are meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. Production began in 1981, after Kjærholm's death. It is a product of FRITZ HANSEN, a Danish company. Regarding leather: Each piece is unique, with wrinkles, scratches, and textures characteristic of natural materials.
